What’s it made of, and will it hold up?
MoorVent registers are 3D printed to order in our Centerville, Iowa shop from ASA. It’s a tough, UV-stable engineering plastic that won’t warp under normal furnace heat. Unlike metal, it won’t rust or fade, so it’s built for humid, unconditioned or sun-exposed spaces.
Which size do I order?
The 6" is the register face for MVRS6. Pick the duct size that matches the round spiral duct you’re mounting on (8"–24"). The saddle base is curved to fit that size. Choose “Flat” for the rectangular duct or the flat portion of oval spiral. Need a size or color we don’t list? Contact us. We do custom orders.
How do I install it?
Cut a 6” hole in the duct, set the register over it, and fasten it with the four screws included. You don’t need a boot, a transition or any sheet-metal fabrication. Watch the install video.
Damper or no damper?
Get the damper (MVRS6-D) to balance airflow right at each register. Go without (MVRS6-ND) if the system is already balanced upstream, or to save $8 a register.
How much air does each register handle?
Each register is rated for 100–120 CFM. At 100 CFM it runs at NC 20 with about 20 ft of throw. To size a run, divide its CFM by 100–120, so a 600 CFM run takes 5 or 6 registers. Full performance data is on the submittal sheet. These are preliminary numbers from our in-house testing.
Can I use it on a return?
Yes. The MVRS works for supply, return or transfer air.
How fast does it ship, and what does shipping cost?
Most orders ship within 5 business days, and shipping is free anywhere in the US with no minimum. Delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after that, and you’ll get tracking by email. For large orders, contact us for a lead time.
What if I order the wrong size?
Email moormadeproducts@gmail.com within 30 days of delivery to return unused registers in their original packaging. Once the return is approved, we’ll send a return label. Custom orders are final sale. If anything arrives damaged or wrong, email us right away and we’ll make it right.
